Avocado, scientifically known as Persea Americana is a medicinal heaven. Its leaf and seed extracts are popularly used all over the world as an antibiotic, for the treatment of diarrhea and in many other medicinal applications.
Not many people know of Avocado as a treatment for lowering cholesterol, but it certainly is a remedy in this case. Avocados contain “good” unsaturated (mono- and poly) fats that do not raise cholesterol (80%). It is an excellent source of folate (folic acid), a B vitamin that reduces the risk of serious types of birth defects, heart disease, and cancers.
It is a common knowledge that a high cholesterol level in your body can lead to a whole bunch of diseases which include heart disease and stroke. The reason for this is the cholesterol which clogs your arteries (blood carrying vessels) all over the body. Some of them present in the heart, when clogged with fatty cholesterol deposits cause the blood pressure to increase, which in turn causes the heart to pump harder. If not alleviated, it may cause you a heart attack.
There are 2 types of cholesterols–LDL and HDL. Out of both of them, LDL is the one which is considered a bad cholesterol and thereby many of the modern diet such as coke, burgers and other such fast food can be blamed to the increase in amount of LDL in your body. Avocados are a source of monounsaturated fat, which is good for you when eaten in moderation. They’re also rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, compounds that block cholesterol absorption. A lot of modern research these days and modern studies has concluded that Avocados help in lowering the bad cholesterol level to a great extent thereby preventing cardiovascular diseases, heart attacks and strokes.
1 tablespoon butter
4 tablespoon milk or water
Half cup Avocado pulp
Three-quarters teaspoon salt
Avocado omelet makes an excellent breakfast. Just mix the eggs, salt, avocado pulp in a bowl. Stir and blend in a blender. Take 1 tablespoon butter and melt it in a frying pan. Add the blended mixture to the frying pan while lower the heat. During this process, shake the pan continually so that the mixture does not remain uncooked from any angle. Remove the frying pan when the eggs are still a little soft. Fold and serve immediately.
This. Is. Amazing. 😋 I felt like making something different with chicken and this is what resulted from what I had in my kitchen. I baked a chicken breast in the oven seasoned with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Once it's cooked throughout, I put fresh chopped salsa (the kind that's pretty much chopped tomatoes, onions, and peppers) covering the whole breast, then sliced avocado and a little bit of shredded cheeses. The chicken goes back in the oven until the cheese is melted. I also had a baked potato with chives and pepper! Can't even describe how good it tastes 👅👅👅 #avocadochicken #healthydinner #lowcarb
2 pieces of chicken breast (finely chopped)
2 tablespoons butter
Garlic 2-3 pieces (chopped)
1 Green onion
Half teaspoon lemon peel
1 tablespoon of flour
Add Salt to taste
Half teaspoon black pepper (sliced)
Half cup milk
2-3 teaspoons of cream cheese
2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
This is something for a light lunch or dinner. Take the 2 pieces of chicken breast and chop them in a strip-like fashion. Take a frying pan and melt butter in it. While doing so add the chopped garlic, green onion and the chicken breast. Fry the chicken till it starts taking on the color. After that, add lemon peel, flour, salt and pepper. Cook this mixture for about 3 to 4 minutes before adding the milk and the cream. After that, cook for a further 5 minutes. When the sauce becomes thick, turn off the stove and set it aside to cool. Now, take the Avocado and peel it off and at the end sprinkle some lemon juice on it. Serve an Avocado slice on a platter with the chicken breast in the middle.

What’s better than an Avocado shake in a time of thirst! Peel the Avocado and cut into half. Now all you have to do is put the Avocado and sugar in a blender and add a cup of milk. Keep blending till the milkshake turns creamy and smooth. You can add another cup of milk and blend again to thin out the shake. All the ingredients depend upon the size of the Avocado. Add ice according to your taste and feel! Enjoy the all-healthy Avocado milkshake!
Avocado Cheese Salad
Moving straight on to the recipe! Cut the Avocado down the mid-section and remove its seed. Using a teaspoon, make the seed cavity deeper so that when it is filled with a mixture of Philadelphia cream cheese, the cheese doesn’t spill out. When the Avocado halves are filled with the cheese, wrap them in oiled paper and refrigerate to chill. When ready to serve, peel the Avocado and cut into thick slices. Place the slices alongside tomato and lettuce. There goes your salad with the French dressing!
Avocado Cream Soup
2 cups milk
2 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoon flour
2 cups Avocado pulp
Add salt to taste
Melt the butter in a frying pan. Add flour and salt to it while stirring thoroughly. After that add 2 cups of milk; keep on cooking until the mixture thickens. Let it cool. Before serving add the Avocado pulp to it and let it boil. The Avocado cream soup is now ready. Serve immediately.
